Mobility parts
Hydrogen-Electric
The new electric and hydrogen models require in most of them platforms on which these elements are supported. These apparently simple platforms are complicated by their size and springback. Since the development of these new systems began, EMD has been collaborating with different companies to manufacture prototypes and see the different complexities that exist.
Visible parts
As important as the quality of the dies is the manufacture of the parts and their visual control to avoid marks or soiling in the stamping process. That is why OEMs require that the manufacturers of these types of parts have the necessary certification. For this purpose, EMD has certified personnel to manufacture and verify these types of parts.
Aluminium and Stainless Steel Parts
Requirements both in the manufacture of the dies and in the handling of the part that are different to those of steel. It is very important to have good specialized equipment for the maintenance of these types of dies to guarantee a good final product.
Structural parts
A large part of the manufactured parts in the mobility sector are structural, a percentage of which are high-strength in order to protect the people in the passenger compartment as much as possible in the event of an impact. These high-strength parts require a good feasibility and springback study as well as a large tonnage of presses for their production.
